Community Excursion - Wriggle and Rhyme
Here at BestStart Te Awamutu, we believe it is important to create links to our community through inviting guests and whānau into our centre and going out on excursions. We also believe in the importance of nurturing a love for language and literacy from an early age.
This week, our littlest learners had the wonderful opportunity to attend a Wriggle and Rhyme session at the local library, an enriching experience that aligns perfectly with our local curriculum goals. The session was a joyful celebration of sounds, songs, and stories. Our babies were captivated by the rhythm of nursery rhymes and the enchanting melodies that filled the room. The wonderful library staff led the session with enthusiasm, engaging our children through interactive songs, sensory experiences and vibrant storytelling.
This captivating environment sparked curiosity and encouraged social interactions, fostering a sense of community. We look forward to making this a regular outing, cultivating a lifelong love for books and stories in our young learners. Together, we are building a brighter future through the magic of Wriggle and Rhyme!
