Counting in Spanish
At BestStart Montessori Johnsonville we pride ourselves in supporting Tuakana Teina, it is even part of our philosophy.
We have 2 classes of 18 mixed aged children rather than one classroom of 36 children because we like that small family feel. It doesn't mean that the children don't mix, however.
When a parent asked us to support their child with their Spanish counting we were able to provide this as we have an older (Tuakana) that is fluent in Spanish in the other classroom. He was delighted to help the younger (Teina) in practicing her counting.
