Arts and crafts are always so fun with so many possibilities. Do not judge a book by its cover: a stroke can be a dragon, a cut is a door, or some scrap paper is the beginning of a party. The tamariki at Beststart Ascot have been focussing on all the possibilities that our creative minds can give us this month. We have really enjoyed the outdoors but we have also made use of our deck area for some cutting, drawing, painting, collaging and so on. Such big ideas from such simple materials.

Arts and crafts not only support our tamariki in thinking outside the box, but they also support their problem solving, their imagination and individuality, their fine motor skills, their social interactions, their confidence in expression among so many other things. Leave some paper and glue with your child and you will be amazed at what they can give you. How does a dragon look like to you I wonder?"
