We love celebrating all the different cultures we have at BestStart Wigram and to celebrate this we had a Cultural Day. This is where we invited all our teachers, tamariki and whanau to come dressed up in their traditional costumes, which represented the country they come from.

We believe it is important to acknowledge the diverse cultures we have here at the centre. This is to ensure that everyone has a sense of belonging and know that their different cultures are recognised and respected, where we are all learning about different cultures and people.

It is important for us to appreciate one's own culture and develop self-esteem and a strong sense of identity, which is important for children's overall wellbeing and learning outcomes.
