Daffodils are a flower that has been symbolically linked to the fight against cancer for many years now. Representing “hope” in the language of flowers, they stand for all the efforts of communities and volunteer groups in the search for a cure. As such, Daffodil Day is a day when we’re reminded of all that hard work and research and encouraged to do what we can to help it.

From selling daffodils to raising awareness in the community through fundraising efforts, it’s a day for everyone to lend their help to a very important cause. Here at BestStart Taradale, we supported this day with colour, fun, play, and being kind. We hope everyone got a chance to donate which you still can do the the cancer.org website and choose an amount that suits your budget. Every little bit counts and helps support the 1000's of people each year affected by this disease.

Whether you have a personal connection to cancer, or you just want to make a difference - join us in creating a future with less cancer. You can support Daffodil Day by organising a fundraiser of your own! Support your local Cancer Society and community by getting involved in one of New Zealand's most iconic fundraising appeals. Funds raised through Daffodil Day will help people in your community through the Cancer Society’s support services, health promotion programs, and life-saving cancer research.
