Daffodil Day craft and yellow day
During September, to welcome the start of spring, the nursery Kaiako provided the tamariki with lots of spring-related experiences.
We incorporated a week of Daffodil Day craft and yellow day experiences to raise awareness and fundraise for the Cancer Society into our Spring time exploration as well.
The tamariki were able to explore many of these experiences with their senses. They used their physical skills and got creative as they spent time working with and alongside others, further developing their social and communication skills while having lots of fun.
We were even lucky to have a preschool whānau bring in two lambs for the day, where many of the nursery tamariki fed them their milk bottles, watched them run around, and pat them. What a wonderful experience this was.
