Children at our centre have been enjoying music, movement, and dance, creating sunflower props and practising routines for a lively performance. Families joined us to celebrate their creativity, confidence, and collaborative learning in a vibrant art and dance showcase.
At our centre, children love participating in music and movement experiences — a wonderful way to support literacy and numeracy development while keeping learning joyful and engaging.
Our tamariki have been having so much fun exploring rhythm, movement, and dance! It has been an exciting and meaningful time as we prepared for our upcoming dance performance and art exhibition.
The children were full of energy and enthusiasm as they practised dance steps, learned new movements, and discovered repeating patterns within their routines. It was a joy to witness their confidence and sense of achievement grow with each rehearsal.
To add a splash of colour and creativity, tamariki worked together to create bright sunflower props for the performance. This hands-on project encouraged them to notice colours, shapes, and patterns while practising important skills such as sharing ideas, helping one another, and collaborating as a team.
The week culminated in a wonderful evening event where parents and whānau joined us to enjoy the children’s lively dance performance and explore our vibrant art exhibition. The tamariki were proud to share their creativity, and it was heartwarming to see families come together to celebrate their achievements and love of learning.
