Dinosaur Day
Sparked by tamariki interested in dinosaurs, BrestStart Greenmeadow's Mana and Tiaki tamariki had a dinosaur day.
We had some very cool dinosaurs come through the door that morning. Dinosaur themed experiences enabled tamariki to share their knowledge around dinosaurs. Dinosaur playdough, dinosaur sensory experiences, dinosaur books, dinosaur masks, dinosaur footprint face paint, and much more!! Tamariki were really engaged in the experiences, working together and sharing their knowledge around dinosaurs.
The biggest surprise was Jackie from the Napier Aquarium visiting us here at centre. Jackie shared her knowledge with us around dinosaurs! She even came in with real-life fossils for children to engage with.
