Discovering Nee Naw

One of our focuses this month has been Contribution/Mana Tangata and Exploration/Mana Auoturoa. We noticed that all of our pepe (babies) are learning through play.  We've been reading the book “Nee-Naw The Little Fire Engine”. Over time and with guidance and encouragement, our pepe become increasingly capable of playing, imagining and understanding what “Nee-Naw” is and repeat asking where is “Nee-Naw”? As they engage in exploration, we wanted to represent something for our children to enjoy, so we decided work together and make our own “Nee-Naw”. Through this experience we were leaning to work together as a team, expressing our feelings when we are listening to the CD story.
