Discovery through sensory play
Our youngest explorers in our Tui Room have been enjoying a wide range of sensory play as they discover and make sense of the world. Sensory play is a fun and dynamic way for children to connect with and make sense of their world and as you can see the shredded paper provided just the opportunity needed to touch, feel, lift, grab, pull, tip, throw this light material. The ball pond was just as much fun with children finding their own unique ways to move in this medium. Teachers also find ways to interact with children to talk about their experiences using expressive and familiar language.
