Diwali 2021 at BestStart Leeds St
We are so fortunate in New Zealand/Aotearoa to be able to celebrate many cultures and here at BestStart Leeds Street we feel honoured as teachers too, also learn alongside the tamariki as parents share their culture. Diwali is one of our biggest celebrations in ECE and the tamariki love being immersed in the celebrations throughout the weeks leading up to Diwali. One of the highlights of Diwali for the tamariki is the making of the Diya candle holder and then being lit and presented onto at beautiful table decorated while music is being played by one of our amazing dads.
