Tamariki and teachers at our centre celebrated Diwali with vibrant colours, traditional dress, creative activities, music, and food. Families joined in, creating a joyful community celebration of culture, learning, and togetherness.

Yesterday, our centre was filled with colours, lights, and joy as we celebrated Diwali — the Festival of Lights!

The children took part in a range of fun and creative activities, including Diya decorating, Rangoli making, and Henna art. Their excitement and curiosity made the celebration even more special as they explored the beauty and meaning behind this festival.

Our teachers and children looked stunning in traditional Indian attire, bringing vibrant colours and festive spirit into our learning environment. We also shared delicious food with our families, and it warmed our hearts to see everyone enjoying the treats together.

We are truly grateful for the love and support from our parents. Your participation made the celebration even more memorable. The day was filled with music, laughter, dancing, and the aroma of festive food, making the centre glow with happiness.

It was wonderful to see our tamariki engaging with cultural traditions, learning through sensory play, and celebrating diversity. Moments like these remind us how beautiful it is to come together as a community to share joy and love.

It was a day of togetherness, learning, and cultural celebration, and we are so proud of our tamariki for embracing the Diwali spirit with such joy and enthusiasm.

Happy Diwali to all!
