They each retrieved a trolley so that all the children were able to be part of the selection and transferring of items.  There was special excitement as we were able to pick out flowers of their own choice, each selecting the colours that appealed to them best. Bunnings were kind enough to let us be part of watching them measure and cut the pieces of wood to size for the creation of our fences.

We had a small stop for a fluffy once we were finished, given all the hard mahi we had put into searching the store for all our supplies, before heading back to kindy. Once we arrived, we took turns at using the drill to place together the wooden fences we had just had cut and we think they look ka pai.  At Frankton, we value the importance of our children taking the lead and being able to create their ownership of the environment through their ideas and actively being part of the physical processes that take place.
