The week leading up to Father's Day, nga tamariki got their thinking caps on and created all kinds of crafts ready to be gifted to their special person! Over at the carpentry table, washers were threaded, and screws were tightened to make necklaces and key chains for Dad. In the art area, our artists painted abstract art by tipping paint covered marbles in tote trays. Tamariki also designed their own brands of neck ties for their Dads to accessorise. We had some fun korero about what our Dads were like - "funny", "strong", and "smelly"! The highlight of the week was baking cupcakes and icing them along with donuts donated by whanau so that our Dads could enjoy doses of sprinkled covered treats to end the week!
