Over the last few weeks, the Rua Room children at BestStart Napier Central have been exploring construction and have enjoyed building and creating their own projects. Our centre's vision is "No dream too big", so we decided to make some dreams come true and show the tamariki the big machines.

Today we had a wonderful trip to Gough Cat in Napier. The tamariki got to explore inside the big and small diggers, learning about the controls and even beeping the horn.  We saw where the mechanics fix the big machines and looked at all the extra parts used.  We ended our wonderful experience with an ice cream and they each tamariki got a toy dump truck to take home.  A big thank you to Grant McEnery from Gough Cat, who made this great trip possible.
