Over the past few weeks the children at BestStart Raureka have been preparing for the Ebbett Park School book character picnic. In preparation for this event, our tamariki have been reading and learning about, Jack and the Beanstalk, the Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. We then separated all our children into the story characters and asked that they come dressed up.

What a wonderful turn out we had! After making our way down to Ebbett Park school we had a bit of a play in the playground then sat down with the school kids for a picnic. A group of older children also took time out to read stories to our children.

A big thank you to all our parents who dressed their children up as their chosen book characters, they all looked wonderful!! Also, thank you to all our parents who helped walk our children to and from school, your help is greatly appreciated.
