BestStart Stoddard Road is a culturally diverse centre. This month we celebrated Eid, which is the festival of breaking the fast worldwide. This marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan.

We celebrated a quiet Eid at the centre this time unlike the big whanau gathering we have had every year.

Dressing up in cultural outfits, applying heena on our hands and making art-work with children kept us all busy through the day.

We also had special sweets and milk desserts made by the teachers.

It was such a fun filled day for both teachers and children at the centre.
