End Of Year Party
We had a funtastic time at the End Of Year Party, on a sunny Friday evening. It was amazing to see so many of our lovely families joining together to celebrate and share a meal together (they brought in their own food, and then sat together around the Putangitangiand Parera rooms, chatting and sharing stories)
The children were excited to explore the playground and create adventures to experience together. Some of our older siblings encouraged the younger friends to join them, and supported them with climbing and jumping on the equipment. We had a pair of magical fairies come in to visit, and they did a wonderful job of painting faces with spectacular rainbows, flowers and even a few spider webs.
Then it was time for a wee show! We all gathered in the Putangitangi room and watched as Strawberry Fairy amazed us with tricks using hoops and ribbons. As well as getting the tamariki involved in helping her juggle 4 balls at once. At the end of the show, she invitied the tamariki to dance along tot he music and try out the ribbon fans and streamers for themselves. Then it was off to chase some giant bubbles outside until it was time to start the journey home again for the weekend.
It was a magical night, and we are so appreciative of the support we received from our BestStart Barrington whanau and kaiako.
