Enjoying Summer Weather!
Here at BestStart Puni Road, we enjoy utilizing our outdoor space as much as possible! With the weather becoming consistently sunny as we start to welcome Summer, we have started transitioning some of our routines and rituals out into our beautiful environment.
Today we happened to have all our tamariki awake during our afternoon kai, which doesn’t happen often, so we all gathered outside, slathered in sunblock, to the picnic table, and enjoyed some nice refreshing snacks together! Our wonderful cook prepped us some crushed pineapple and banana in yummy feijoa yogurt, with some delicious sandwiches! Together we chatted away, sharing lots of laughter, and investigating each other’s cups to ensure we all had the same!
Moments like this are so intimate and special, we forget how much learning can take place during rituals like this. Together we are able to expand and develop our relationships with our peers as we are in closer proximity to each other than usual. Here at BestStart Puni, we aim to guide our tamariki to form a strong sense of belonging through interactions like this. We cannot wait to see what amazing memories and fun we have this Summer!
