Everyone gets Creative
BestStart Judea welcomed in all our whanau and tamariki to our annual art expo. All our tamariki have been working hard on their pieces of art and were very excited to show off all their hard work. Our tamariki of all ages get to explore the different forms of art and expresses their ideas. Our theme this year came from the childrens interest in animals. Each room created many different masterpieces following this interests. Our Koru room (under two's) got creative making farm animal creations as the tamariki love joining in with Old McDonalds farm. Our Paua Room (toddlers) have a huge interest in dinosaurs and animal stories, so to extend their knowledge we looked at dinosaur skeletons and they recreated their own, along with recreating stories such as Dear Zoo, Five Little Ducks and Five speckled Frogs. Our Pounamu Room (preschool) love the story of Willbee The Bumble Bee and worked together to recreate the whole story and took their parents on a journey through the class. The smiles on tamariki faces as they show off their masterpieces to their families and friends, is such a pleasure to share. I wonder what our tamariki will create next year?
