We have had our wonderful mum – Mona come into visit and do some henna to help us celebrate Diwali.  During the week our children have come up with own designs, that Mona was able to transfer onto their hands.

It is traditional for women to adorn their hands and feet with henna as a way to show femininity and beauty and signify good luck and happiness. According to Hindu scriptures of the Ramayana, Diwali is a festival of joy and prosperity.
