Excursion to the Southern Sensory Room
The Nursery went on an excursion to the Southern Sensory Room. Everyone had so much fun learning in this new environment. There was a very wide range of colourful resources to explore.
Large, small, shinny, silky, tall, short, round, smooth, spikey, bright, flashing! The list is endless. All the resources that were available to us helped us to make sense of the natural, physical and material world. The children explored independently and used their senses to learn about the different resources and what they did. During this excursion, the children gained knowledge about the world around them and about the centre’s local community.
