During the last month the prep-room children have been getting involved in a wide range of experiments. They have enjoyed exploring different materials and learning ways to ask questions. They enjoy problem solving their ideas together and contribute by being involved.  The types of activities they have participated in have been colour experiments, where they have observed coloured dye absorbing into paper towels. They developed the love of melting ice using salt and observing it melt into water, also enjoyed exploring their sense by learning ways to explore slime mixture with their fingers. Overall the tamariki have discovered the love of what science brings and where it can take them in their learning development with each other.
