Exploring Animals!
Recently our tamariki have shown a huge interest in animals, to support tamariki in their interest and learning around animals kaiako have been facilitating a number of learning experiences that encourages tamariki to learn about animals sounds and become confident in identifying animals, these experiences have included exploring the puppets, setting up provocations using the animal figurines, singing waiata about animals and our tamariki most favourite is reading puka puka such as maranga mai to identify the different sounds each animal makes.
As a special treat for our tamariki kaiako organised with one of our whanau to bring in some animals for a visit, our tamariki absolutely loved it, they showed so much arrow towards the animals and enjoyed running around our outdoor space alongside them. through inviting the animals in to visit us our tamariki were able to recognize and appreciate their own ability to learn | te rangatiratanga.
