At BestStart Dey Street, our nursery is a warm and nurturing space where tamariki can explore, learn and grow through play.
With three qualified, permanent teachers in the nursery room, we provide consistency, strong relationships, and a caring environment where every pēpi feels valued and supported.
Each week, our teachers thoughtfully plan intentional learning experiences based on our tamariki’s interests, abilities and developmental needs. Our programme offers a wide variety of experiences across sixteen different play areas, including sensory play, arts and crafts, music and movement, loose parts and more.
Every Friday morning, our tamariki look forward to the programme named Groovers and Shakers, a special time to enjoy baby music, movement and lots of fun! Tamariki are encouraged to dance, clap, move to the rhythm and express themselves in their own unique ways.
Music is a wonderful way for our tamariki to build confidence, develop coordination, explore creativity and connect with others. Most importantly, it gives every child the opportunity to participate, have fun and shine in their own way.
