Exploring the Human Body
The children in Tamariki Maia have been busy exploring the Human Body. The teachers have been supporting the children's interests by setting up provocations to extend children's interests. We have been investigating and making discoveries about the skeleton and organs. In particular, learning how the heart pumps the blood around our body and how the brain sends messages all around the body.
The children have learnt ways to extend their knowledge through research. They have also been extending on leading their own learning by asking their own questions and researching and investigating alongside the teachers. Children have also been developing their own working theories around the organs and bones in the Human Body.
