Exploring the outdoor playground

The tamariki at BestStart Glenfield just love to explore the outdoor playground. Our playground is an extension of the classroom and is always set up so our tamariki can discover with a sense of wonder. 

Today the team set up lots of different learning experiences in Te Puawai room that encouraged our 2-year-olds to grow and develop both their fine and large motor skills. Through experience where we can work with and alongside others, we are able to promote a collaborative environment that helps develop turn taking skills.  Our tamariki grow their confidence as they conquer the outdoor equipment and find new ways to challenge themselves. A few experience that have been enjoyed the most recently is dancing with scarves, painting, construction, climbing and balancing, and messy play. We can't wait to see where our outdoor adventures take us next!
