As we are exploring The Solar System within our classroom we thought that it would be an amazing idea to venture out into the community to find more resources on our topic.

When visiting our local library the children explored books on the planets, played memory card games and coloured in Saturn. After such an awesome experience at the library we decided to have a picnic lunch and play at a local park before heading back to the centre.

We are loving the opportunity to explore our community, enjoy all that it provides for our tamariki and building strong relationships with others. Ka pai tamariki ma, what an adventure that ended with an awesome book on our Solar System and new friendships within our community.
