Exploring the World of Dinosaurs
Over the past two months our toddlers have been wanting to learn and explore the world of dinosaurs.
It all started with one child showing an interest and the teachers extending on this child's individual learning. This soon got the whole toddler group interested and stomping into the world of dinosaurs.
The children have been exploring and learning about dinosaurs in all areas of the curriculum - e.g., in the sandpit, block area, reading books, dancing and stomping on dino songs, at the playdough table, doing dinosaur art, and even puzzles!
Through this interest the children have not only learned about the world of dinosaurs, but also working with and alongside each other. They are learning valuable social skills such as sharing, turn taking, and communicating with each other.
