Kaiako (teachers) have been noticing and documenting the curiosity of tamariki (children) and their passion for trying new challenges and solving problems along the way.  Kaiako have been supporting this learning with lots of provocations within the environment, as well as encouraging discussion and sharing of ideas and working theories.

So far, we have explored volcanoes with our older tamariki and lots of sensory experiences and loose parts play with our younger tamariki.  Tamariki are using lots of trial-and-error strategies to make discoveries and test their ideas.  They are encouraging and supporting each other which enhances the mana of everyone and builds on our values of whanaungatanga here at BestStart Roydvale.
