Last week we used felt pens to draw pictures and express our imagination. The tamariki (children) were shown and supported by kaiako (teachers) to learn how to hold the felt pens correctly, and made their own discoveries about how to remove the lids and why it is important to put the felt lids back on.

The tamariki were able to express and explore there imagination by drawing on paper.  At the end nga tamariki told the kaiako what their picture was and the Kaiako wrote it below.

This experience also lead to nga tamariki discussing with their pairs and kaiako about the different colours in both English and Te Reo.
