Extending our early numeracy skills
The children in the Paua room have been really interested in extending their early numeracy skills. We have been talking about shapes, patterns, numbers and quantities. Using the Montessori math equipment, the children are able to work with materials that use numbers starting from 1-10, then 10 and beyond. They are learning to identify the written numeral and understand quantities, patterns and sequences in a fun and engaging way.
