Often we notice our children in the classroom using the sensorial materials, to discover the concepts of dimensions - width, height, length and volume. The sensorial materials - Pink Tower or Broad Stairs or Red Rods provide endless opportunities for you to gain an understanding of these concepts. To build the tower as the children have done, they have demonstrated great coordination and precision. The children were able to visual discriminate the dimension of each cube and block, placing them in an order to build the tower just the way they wanted. We love seeing the huge smiles on the children's faces and look forward to seeing what other designs they will build in the future.
