We've been connecting with our local community and invited two dads in to share some of their farming lifestyle with us.  Tama's dad Aaron brought in his shearing trailer and showed us what he does each day as a job and played some great songs to work along to. Mackenzie's dad Richard bought in two lambs and two calves for us to care for and look after for the day with bottles, feeders and milk power in tow.  It was such an enjoyable day and we all learned so much.  Not just about farming but about ourselves and how we care for living things and manage ourselves to help others and animals.  We also had two ducks fly in for the morning - we learned how to show respect for mother nature and give the animals the space they needed.  The children sat away from their pens and sang nursery rhymes to help put the animals to sleep before the children enjoyed their own group time and kai time inside.
