The children at BestStart Riverbend had the best time out at the Hawkes Bay Farmyard Zoo feeding and patting the animals and sharing knowledge about the animals. Tamariki enjoyed exploring the playground and challenging themselves with new equipment to climb and balance on. Of course this was the most popular part of our trip...well that and the bus ride!! The children are still chatting about their adventure two days later and planning their next bus ride.  Being able to get out and about in the community supports our children's sense of place as they make links between home and centre events.
