On Friday, 4 September, we celebrated Father’s Day at BestStart Everglade Babies with lots of love, creativity and meaningful learning experiences.
Our tamariki enjoyed taking part in a variety of special activities alongside their kaiako to show their love and appreciation for their dads.
Together, we prepared delicious spinach and cheese scones to show our love and appreciation for dads. Through this hands-on experience, the children explored different ingredients, developed their fine motor skills, practised teamwork and learned about healthy and nutritious foods.
Our tamariki were excited to see, smell and taste the yummy scones they had made together. It was a wonderful experience filled with learning and joy.
The celebrations also included creating beautiful handmade photo frames, as well as a large photo frame where tamariki and their dads could capture a special memory together.
Our tamariki further explored their creativity by making colourful marble-art paper neckties using shaving foam and dyes. These experiences encouraged the children to develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, problem-solving skills and creativity.
We are incredibly proud of our tamariki for their enthusiasm and participation in this meaningful celebration of love, affection and respect.
