During February in Ngā Tipu we have started to explore and celebrate our calendar of events.

We are all very excited to explore a range of cultures and experiences as we move throughout the year.

At the start of February, we began our celebrations with exploring Waitangi Day, where our tamariki decorated feathers for our room korowai. We also celebrated the various cultures within our room with our tamariki holding their own flags.

Our younger tamariki have also been working through their milestones with many of our tamariki learning to free stand and walk - very exciting and busy time.

Our tamariki have loved being outside exploring the sandpit and water play - while also using bikes, prams and trolleys as walking aids.

Art exploration has still been an interest within the room - loving investigating colour, texture, shapes while working with our friends. This month we have also farewelled our 2-year-olds as they transitioned into the over 2 room Ngā Puawai.

We are always sad to see our older tamariki leave, but we love to see them happily exploring next door with the bigger tamariki and their friends.
