Finding Creatures
Last week, we decided to go on a bug hunt! One of our Explorers children was laying down on the grass with a magnifying glass and insisted that the teacher come and see what he had found. She bent down and discovered that he had found a little worm. A lot of other children came by and there was soon a crowd to see what was happening!
Each of the children had the opportunity to explore the feeling of the worm wiggling in their hands and made sure that they were being as gentle as possible so they did not hurt the worm.
Experience like this encourage our tamariki to take care of nature and creatures in our environment.
