On Friday the 11th of October, BestStart Balclutha had another wonderful collaboration with Fonterra. Unfortunately, the weather was too wet for cleaning up the park but never fear, Hannah from Fonterra, had a plan. We created some wearable art from recycling.

Our tamariki split into teams of four and started their creating. There were many interesting ideas and several extra creations as more tamariki wanted to be models.

Then it was time to walk the catwalk and show off the beautiful garments.

Some of our Fonterra friends helped us to create and some were cooking the BBQ, they supplied, on the deck. Once the BBQ was cooked our chefs judged the garments, Aubree and Donna's team were announced the winners!

This was a lovely mōrena of fun and creativity. All our tamariki were able to participate and be included in the experience. Our relationship with Fonterra is positive and brings so much manakitanga and amazing experiences for our tamariki.
