Foodbank help
BestStart Wainoni has teamed up with Foodbank Canterbury to help us with a surplus of food to share with whanau.
We have a great deal of gratitude for those who volunteer at the Foodbank. We are able to help our whanau through times when the cost of living is just escalating.
It is so nice to see whanau take what they need; we are now also having whanau put things into the pantry to support the community.
We have one young man who gets something each Wednesday from the pantry. He goes home and incorporates that into the whanau dinner.
They recently shared on Storypark that night's dinner was meatball subs using the cheese buns he took home.
