Our children have had a sense of curiously and it got the better them when  a staff member set up a fossil hunting experiment on the table inside as the weather was a little chilly.  The children sat down and grabbed a paint brush and began brushing away the sand to see what they have discovered, they found a white object poking out of the sand.  We had a discussion about what it could be with the group and it was decided on it being an egg,  some children thought it might be a bird inside of it.  When the egg was exposed and placed in the science cabinet they were eagerly awaited for it to hatch, going back several times over the period of the day.  Over the next few days the children would go backwards and forwards  to the science cabinet and had a look to see what might have happened overnight.  To everyone’s surprise there was a baby triceratops poking out of the egg!
