Fostering relationships
Since opening a new centre at BestSart Maunu Village in February 2020 we have been building some wonderful relationships with our new tamariki and their whanau. Just before the lock down the children were engage in raising money for Plunket with a bike-a-thon. Our children and their families really got behind this event, decorating their bikes and creating an opportunity for fun and laughter. We even had a visit from Plunket Bear.
As lock down came upon us, our teachers continued to work from home providing activities and learning experience to support our tamariki. Teachers and children were able to access zoom mat times, recipes, stories and video uploaded to our StoryPark format. This online format allows both you are your children to communicated with us, revisit your child’s learning, post your own amazing experience with us and also allows YOU to invite family and friends near or international to enjoy the by wonders of your child and their learning.
Since coming back from lock down our children have been reconnecting with their friends and their teachers. As we have moved through the levels of lock down teachers have been using lots of tactile experiences to support calmness and contentedness for our tamariki. We have also introduced a fish tank and had a visit from some fluffy individuals. All these opportunities support children to feel happy and strong; understanding that the world has so many wonderful experience to share with them. Come see us, we would love to show you round our place.
