In the Koru classroom, the teachers have been supporting the children to foster their tuakana-teina relationships. We have been providing the learning experiences for our children to extend on their confidence and teaching the new learners (teina).

We have introduced something new into our Koru classroom programme. On Monday's, we do Active Movement where we set up obstacle courses and running races for our tamariki to develop their gross motor skills and practice tuakana-teina relationships.

On Wednesdays  we do Arty fun where we provide learning experiences for our children where they discover different ways to be creative and expressive. On Friday's we do Disco. Another great opportunity for our children to engage in music and movement and a fantastic way to end our week. All these learning experiences encourage our tamariki to learn with and alongside others fostering their reciprocal tuakana-teina relationships and pro-social skills.
