Fresh New Look For Abacus
Here at BestStart Abacus, we have been very fortunate to recently have both our outdoor grass turf spaces freshened and levelled to create a safe environment with fewer trip hazards for our tamariki. We wish to thank the tamariki and whānau for their patience while the maintenance was occurring. BestStart Abacus has an outdoor space with multiple large trees which has caused the roots to grow long and far.
With our trees being healthy and strong the roots had started lifting our concrete and grass which was becoming a hazard for our tamariki. This was a great opportunity to teach our tamariki about guardianship, and how to protect and take care of our land. We also talked about what we could do as Kaitiaki to protect our new envionment for years to come.
With that being said the contractors got to work and refreshed our spaces. Our tamariki loved getting to watch the process of the upgrade from our deck and couldn't wait to get outdoors on the new grass. Upon completion of the turf, the tamariki all rushed outside with excitement. There were many ‘wow’ comments as it looked like a completely new space.
Some tamariki even tried to make grass angels.
