September started off a little sticky with returning into yet another lock down, but that did not stop us at BestStart Mahora. We enjoyed some videos chats together, while also sharing some amazing home learning together. Through lockdown we got to dance with Tobi and enjoy some stories with Dee and I.

Upon return to Level 3 some of our little friends whom attended the centre worked on their gardening skills, and creativity with some art while our other friends still at home got to enjoy Annie and myself still via our online learning.

Now in Level 2 we are all back together with a few new extra friends who have transitioned from the Kea room and a few new faces who have joined the Mahora  whānau.

In this short time of Level 2 we have accomplished so much from our Te reo Māori learning in  Te Wiki o te reo Māori language week, we have worked on our creativity through many experiences, which you can find over our walls with beautiful creations of art. The children here in the Kiwi room really love water play so of course we have had some puddle jumping fun, but also working on our balancing skills through our bikes, and outdoor resources. The sun is not too far away I am really looking forward to the fun and learning we will have through October.
