September has been a busy and fun-filled month for our BestStart Te Aroha whanau. We were SO excited to begin our weekly excursions again. Each Tuesday our older tamariki enjoy a short walk to the local library where they have such a wonderful time appreciating and enjoying pukapuka. Every second Wednesday our Pepi are enjoying a hikoi to the local Music and Movement session. Many of our whanau have enjoyed supporting us with these walks which such a great way to live our vision as 'We are all in this together'.

Our centre has been celebrating the value of our tuakana-teina relationships. We are so lucky to have the ability to share our spaces with both our over two and under two children. Our older tamariki really enjoy coming next door to help take care of and learn alongside our Pepi. These opportunities teach our tamariki about responsibility and leadership. We continue to enhance and enjoy our natural, loose play focus in our environment. The hot glue gun has been a real favourite with the older children recently and what fantastic master pieces they create.

At the beginning of September ALL of the children had a go at tie dying socks for their special someone on Fathers Day!  It was an exciting process and the end results were ka rawe!
