The sun is beaming down on us, and the heat is making us melt. The Centre is filled with happiness, smiles, and laughter—we can not get enough of summer!
Our favourite time of the year is when the sun makes us happy. The children seem to enjoy the outdoors more, so we come prepared with our swimwear and hats. Water play is where it's at!
The trough is filled to the brim, the sprinkler and pool is in tact, the sandpit has the hose running with water through it, we can never get bored with all of that! Our summer days here at BestStart Abacus are super enjoyable, fun and full of learning experiences for our tamariki.
Our large outdoor area means we have plenty of room to explore and play with water in many different ways. Our tamariki enjoy the daily set up of the trough, tipping, pouring, splashing and throwing the water everywhere. The sprinkler and shallow pool provide a much-needed cool-down space when the sun shines so bright. We have tamariki in the sandpit all day with the running water, creating dams, moats and big holes using our sit-on digger.
This provides endless opportunities to be creative and for our imaginations to develop! Our tamariki absolutely love running through the sprinkler, I know this is a memory I will always remember as a child! We really can't get enough of these beautiful warm days!
