Music is life here at BestStart Marchwiel. Today one of our kaiako brought in a ukulele for the tamariki to explore. We took turns at holding and strumming the instrument while our friends supported from the side. I could see the tamariki explore rhythm and beat as they strummed faster and slower, and the sheer delight when they could see their peers bodies moving and wriggling to the music they made. Music is a great way for children to express themselves, they can be creative and have fun through the process and collaborate with others to enjoy shared experiences.
