Gardening Goodness at Kindy
Marne Road Kindy children have an absolute love of the outdoors and all things Nature. This Spring the children decided on expanding our Vegetable garden. Throughout our project the children have demonstrated love, care, persistence, and a lot of exploration as our Vegetable Garden has come to life.
We value the importance of teaching our children about sustainability and having our vegetable garden as a hive of learning supports our vision. The children absolutely love caring for the garden and sharing our produce with their families.
The children were excited to get in the garden and prepare the ground for our next harvest, getting their hands dirty and planting our seedlings was all part of the learning. Through great care, watering, and daily measuring to see how great our plants are growing has added value and importance to the project.
Families have shared wonderful stories of the children trying new vegetables, exploring new tastes from raw and cooked as well as enjoying preparing the vegetables they take home to share with their families.
