We made some corn flour gloop and invited the children to participate. The children enjoyed exploring the texture of the gloop. Learning about what it felt like between their fingers, what it looked like, what it smelt like. They really enjoyed watching it slowly drip from their fingers when they held their hands up. They were able to explore language with their teachers to explain what they were exploring - slimy, dripping, slippery etc. They were also able to learn alongside their friends - sharing, taking turns and having conversations with one another about what it felt like.
